BRADFORD MEGA EVENT

A fundraising dinner was organised by the mdauk sub-committee in Bradford on 4th December 07 at Bradford City Football Club. 600 people attended the charity dinner and raised a MEGA £160,000. This includes a cheque for £85,000 from Bradford Telegraph and Argus.

Liverpool City - HALF MARATHON

Liverpool University students, Awes Siddique, Adil Riaz, Kaleem Khan, Hafeez Aslam, Amir Nohoom and Talah Patel will run Liverpool City Half Marathon on the morning of 25th March 07.

All sponsorship funds will go towards MDAUK Muzzaffarabad Hospital Project.

Birmingham MEGA Event

Mega event at Birmingham last night raised £80,000 ..... Thanks to Birmingham Sub-commitee members Nahaem, Nadeem, Jonny, Dr Shafiq and Waseem. The main sponsor for the event was Sapna Caterers from Southall London. We can not thank them enough for their support.

with the Prime Minister on 28th Jan 07 at the Mumtaz Restaurant Bradford to disuss the proposed charity hospital project in Muzzaffarabad Azad Kashmir.

Bradford Fundraising Event at ANAM Restaurant

“Mr M Maqood (Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon) of Lincoln County Hospital, Mr Tariq Mustafa (Specialist Registrar Nottingham), MR Salman Rabbani (Lincoln County Hospital) had organised a luncheon event at the ANAM Restaurant in Bradford to help the MDAUK hospital project. I t was attended by 187 friend from Lincolnshire. Cost of food and restaurant was paid jointly by the three above mentioned surgeons. They also had collected donations and in total raised well over £7000.

MDAUK - Derby Rotary Club - Function - 10 Nov at Pride Park

An excellent evening at Derby Pride organised by Derby Rotary Club have raised £15,000.

A football shirt autgraphed by two English legends was auctioned for £1000. The Shirt was donated by Rupert Smilllie (Nottingham Probation Services) and Ms Ann Marie Thompson (PR Executive) of Max Clifford Association New Bound St, London. Also many thanks to Liaqat for promoting the project to them.....

Eid Milan - Oriental Express Restaurant - Rotherham

We are very grateful to Shabbir Mughal and friends from Sheffield/Rotherham for inviting us to the Eid Milan party held on 29th October 06 at Oriental Express Restaurant to raise funds for the proposed MDAUK hospital project.

RAMADAN APPEAL LAUNCH - 21 SEP 06 AT ZATOUN RESTAURANT DERBY

A joint MDAUK - Derby and Nottingham sub-committee meeting was held on 21 Sep 06 at Zatoun Restaurant Derby to launch the Ramadan Appeal.

Chair Dr Iftikhar Yusuf thanked all members for their hard work and launched the ramadan appeal.

MDAUK is planning to advertise on DM Digital during the month of ramadan to appeal for Zakat and sadqa donations towards hospital project.

DR Iftikhar Yusuf also presented a framed picture to Liaqat Ali. The photograph with Pakistan Stars was auctioned in Derby event for £1600.

Fund Raising event with Pakistan Cricket Stars 26 Aug 06 Derby

Our latest fundraising event held at Derby Assembly Rooms on Saturday, 26th August 2006 with members of the Pakistan cricket team. Around 400 people attended the event, mainly from Derby, Burton and Nottingham. MDAUK was successful in raising an incredible £113,000.

The MDAUK Derby sub-committee worked very hard to make this a successful event. Ijaz Najeeb, Asif Sheraz, Dr Farhan, Dr Shakeel, Ibrar and rest of the team deserve congratulations.

We would like to thank Inzamam, Afridi and Razaq for attending the event under difficult circumstances.

Hi Quick post to test the latest page update system and to tell everyone that Paypal donate is now configured, plus a comprehensive web site stats system is now also installed. The former will allow you to take credit, debit and paypal account payments. The latter will give you a great insight into who when and where of your sites visitors .

Welcome to the new MDAUK website and if your faith is Islam I hope you have a happy forthcoming Ramadan celebration! It’s my intention that this website give you an insight into the great work all the MDA UK team are doing and that you will want to support the project long term.

Although I’m not of Kashmiri/Pakistani origin I wanted to get involved and support this project. We are but one humanity and with all the problems we face, what better time to come together to help a group of resourceful and courageous people across the faiths and races.

Anyway enough from me, Its my intention to help the MDAUK team to give you as much open access to the way the project is progressing, who’s involved, how the funds are being spent and how this team are changing lives for the better – not just statistics but real people and how your involvement is helping people.

So please contact me with additional features or suggestions for the site. I’m currently working on a MDAUK Forum where everyone will be able to post questions direct to the team and exchange fundraising ideas etc - giving you access straight to heart of this project and everyone behind it.

In the mean time in the spirit of my little understanding of Ramadan, dig deep and give generously on the donations page!
